Originally I was really frustrated that my Chinese is so handicapped but I realised actually it's not that undigestible after all and I'm lovin' it <3

30 March: Oh wow how wonderful should I feel cheated or what. Just completed part 1 of the sequel and to my horror, the last page wrote 作者：玉朵朵 who isn't the original author Tong Hua! T.T But it's so darn good!!! SIGH...
Synopsis of sequel:
Zhang Xiao Wen returns to the Qing dynasty as Shao Wen and the story continues where Ruo Xi left off. Qiao Hui happens to take her in and Shao Wen begs 13th prince to keep her as Cheng Huan's maid. Shao Wen follows Cheng Huan into the palace and the people around her soon realise that she is similar to Ruo Xi. However, Shao Wen does not reveal her identity as she knows that the truth will be hard to accept. Moreover, 13th prince and the king have made it clear that they do not believe in life after death. However, it is obvious that the similarity is too striking and Shao Wen is accepted by the king. While she still worries for 8th prince and gang, she soon learns to let go of the past and live a happy and sweet life with the king in Yong Xi Ge i.e. a special place named after Yong Zheng and Ruo Xi. But their happiness is sometimes marred by politics and internal palace matters. Rumors about her winning the king's favour by faking Ruo Xi's identity and Hong Li (King's son) falling in love with her complicates matters. Shao Wen gives birth to a son and the king accepts her request to not include their child in the registry. Shao Wen explains the entire story to Hong Li in order for him to give up on her.

Min Min asks Shao Wen if she will allow Cheng Huan to be her daughter-in-law. Shao Wen says she wouldn't mind but it all depends on them; whether they want to or not. A new maid enters the palace and is in-charge of taking care of the queen. A few incidents happen whereby one of the king's son drowns, the queen develops a long illness, the death of Lv Wu and the 13th prince thereafter, leading Shao Wen to suspect that the maid is behind all those. The maid then tries to kill Shao Wen and it was revealed that she is actually the "true" Ruo Xi who was reincarnated as a baby when Zhang Xiao Wen took over Ruo Xi's body. Shao Wen gives birth to a girl. At the last part, the king "dies" and Shao Wen tried to kill herself as well but was saved. In the epilogue, it was revealed that the death was faked so that the king and Shao Wen could live happily ever after.
Not the best ending, but I can't say that I don't like it cause it's a happy ending :)
