Spent last Sunday with 09S32 and yesterday with ebony, lijie followed by OUAM peeps (:
was supposed to head to the zoo on Sunday but changed to Dhoby Ghaut at the last hour after a heavy downpour ):
Lunch, then pool, Mission Impossible and dinner!
Surprisingly, I only spent ~$20 the whole day!
Some money-saving tips: 1) Share food portions, 2) Get people with credit cards to buy movie tickets(discounted price) ;D
& I brought the new proz family camera along and played around with the effects teehee

Lunch with eb and lj was a simple affair at one of the amk hawker centers.
Walked, shopped, talked <3
Dinner was at Kushinbo(buffet) and watched MI again!

Haven't had the time to really use the com!

Been busy with packing, school and outings.

So yup I'm back from my trip (: and ):

Paris is really pretty; Love the Eiffel tower!

Venice was relaxing...and Rome is cool hahaha

The only stressful part was when we received an sms just before leaving Paris that our Easyjet flight was cancelled due to a cabin crew strike!!!

Fortunately, our trip wasn't affected much PHEW.

Didn't do much shopping(just 2 tops and a bag) but the food was awesome (quality authentic French pastries, Italian cuisine and gelato ^^)

I have so much more to share but shan't be longwinded here...

Wanted to take part as a full participant but registration was full alr so...I was a marshall instead

It's kinda lag and sometimes goes konky :/

I was quite sian when I realised that we were having games at ECP (that meant getting all wet and dirty) but it was really really fun! (and I totally treated it as a orientation camp hehe)

TODAY WAS A GOOD SHOPPING DAY!

Didn't start out too well cause Merri was extremely late and made me waited for 45 mins!

Then all the book stalls at Bras Besah were closed due to Hari Raya.

Decided to go to Waterloo since we were in the area.

Was about to head to Suntec when we passed by this book shop.

Extremely delighted to have found two of my IBM books at $19.90 each!

What a steal! (:

Patronised Citylink's New Look instead (new!) and got our blazers at $34.15 each! (2nd item $2 due to 2nd year anniversary)

Signed up for their membership card too ($60) but I got a bag (the mini kind which I wanted since ages ago) and a $25 voucher (expires in Nov so I'll be there again soon) and an additional 5% hehe.

Well, guilty yes that I spent more than 100 bucks.

But those were essential items; no impulse buys! (:

I hate myself.

I hate myself for not being pretty, tall, smart.

Most importantly, I hate myself for the weak in me. I do not seem to have learnt a lesson. After the horrible first half of this year, I'm still like so floaty?! I want (& need) to do well in my studies, to get FCH. But I don't want to waste time. I cannot depend on my degree. I don't want to just sell milkshakes or Kpop calendars. What will my future be like? I need to make plans. But the drive isn't in me! I cannot feel it ): I'm doubting my ability to juggle the many commitments. HOW HOW HOW!

GREEN TEA: The awesome miracle natural food that's helping my skin to clear(: I've seen a (READ: GREAT) reduction in the number of new pimples and the redness seems to be subsiding as well yippee! But I must give credit to my increased regular skin care regimen and the two new products that I'm trying out as well. I spent a bomb (actually just $32 not that much cause there was a 25% discount! but still the most I've spent on moisturisers) on L'oreal's Youth Code Day Cream so far so good I really like the texture of the cream hehe. And Garnier's PureActive Spot On Roll On. Really love the convenience of the tube. *Twisting my fingers* that all the scars will fade quickly and no more new pimples please. Really horrible to have acne troubling me throughout my teen years ): Though I can't avoid the bad days during THAT time of the month :/

Since school's starting, I thought it'll be good to do up some reflections so that I can begin on a fresh and good note (:

The past year,

Mighty glad that I managed to get hold of that Spring internship! Among the best days of my life(: With the happening interns, awesome depts, good food (Y) etc.
Fortunate to be employed real quickly by Once Upon A Milkshake too! Such a coincidence that Alvin's my dad's client haha. It has been real fun working there and everyone's so nice!
Discovered the joy of online shopping! Started in Feb and consequently spent ~$100 a month! :O Gotta cut down now that I'm stopping work soon :/ But that prompted my parents to buy me a new (own) wardrobe too! hehe
Went through the lowest points in my life too. Faced rejection countless of times (main application, appeals, re-appeals and x3 schools) even forfeited my $500 airfare to Taiwan too sobs );

BUT HEY, Ces't La Vie!

I've gotta pick myself up, learn from my mistakes and move on. I'm gonna do so so so well and get myself into a local u next year or study in LSE for my third year MUAHAHAHA

I thought it would be just school tours and ice-breakers but in the end it turned out to be like a real orientation camp, just that it's shorter and without the sleepover.

had a sleepover at tiff's house yesterday

started out with such a touching surprise!

tiff, grace, clarice actually met up in the morning to bake banana walnut muffins for yuqi & I awww<3

then talked, played game of life, listened to kpop, did random stuff, bf at macs

time flew too quickly ):

but yay to the pact to meet up on the last friday of every month!

While the rest met up earlier to k at party world, I was keeping myself busy at OUAM.

I recall how both of us were so surprised to have found out that we were working at the same place and how fate brought us together (imagine same outlet and at least one same working day a week! but I think alvin's behind it haha)

now ~ 3 months later, it's just so sad that we'll be going on our own separate ways.

we had so much fun and hilarious times together, doing milkshakes, eating maxi cheese bread, talking, shopping online, listening to music etc etc

it's just like when I had to leave Spring.

Haven't been following the entertainment news for a long time so was surprised when my sister told me it started airing already.

It's my first taiwanese drama in a long time too (I can't even remember which was my last one) but it's GOOD (Y)

I thought it was supposed to be a sequel for 命中注定我爱你 but it turned out to be another version.

Nevertheless, good plot and chemistry between the actors.

today's was the interns' group presentation and closing ceremony.

half the people from RCD & BL went down (though the BL ppl were there more to support huishan)

& jet presented a gift(pink photoframe! haha) and card too from all the ppl in RCD!

I cried reading the card can.

& before that I was reading the interns' handbook created by kim, lim, fong, yy and siyu too.

colleagues treated me at some korean restaurant yay!

& i gave out my lovely (alien) rainbow cupcakes plus personalised photo frames

really pleased with the final result

im glad to be able to add some colour to their lives(:

gonna develop photos and mail them to the office hehe

plus an additional letter for my wonderful buddy.

went straight to USS in the morning

(= didnt have to go to the office + sleep in + free cab fare)

then played for 1 hour plus before heading to seah im for lunch.

the station itself was crazily busy.

but managed to take photos with mascots in btw hee

plus charades was super funny!

& i seriously thought i won the lucky draw (blaming justin for that)

zzz totally embarrassed myself :x

then free and easy.

took battlestar 5 times weeeee

yesterday was SPRING's movie night!

caught red riding hood with sihui, kim, lim, fong, yy, josh, ks & fiona.

it was not bad yet stupid.

anyway cant complain much the ticket only cost $5 and we're lucky to be able to catch SPRING's one and only annual movie night :D

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE!
left the office with kiwan and justin at 11am to recce USS
it was a cool experience cause i was there on a company trip instead of for leisure.
tried the Shrek 4D show first; it was the exact same one from australia's movie world!
then some steven spielburg hurricance show which was quite cool.
managed to try some rides like the mummy ride, carosel, mini dragon roller coaster etc etc
& saved the best for the last: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA! (Y)
it was totally awesome like wow
at first i was really afraid but halfway through the ride i was laughing cause i realised there was nothing to be scared of! hahaha
i actually screamed more during the mummy ride :O
yeah cant wait for next friday; im so gonna spam battlestar!

went for a morning run at commonwealth track with grace lim at 7.15am.
ran seven rounds then walked to office via buona vista, biopolis and finally solaris.

bathed in the office yup thanks to the shower facility!

I DID HORRIBLY.

but omgz i cant believe i survived today.

first in the morning everyone in the office were like even more anxious than me.

and my colleagues were expecting me to sms them straight away.

they were like if you dont tell us we wont talk to you forever.

then school.

but i totally just felt numb.

and i couldnt face mr chong in the face.

flipped the results slip immediately after getting it before running to a corner in the canteen to peep at it alone.

informed my mum while i cried

was planning to stone at ecp alone when i saw my friend outside haha

so in the end we emo-ed tgt for 2 hours plus.

and talked to my other friends on the phone too.

im feeling surprising okay now.

okay i know i might not get into business now but im suddenly interested in social science :O

but anyway its such things that make me realise that i have such nice friends(:

apart from all the endless teasing that im really getting tired of, today is such an awesome day! submitted a proposal for the RCPG division universal studios bonding trip after letting my buddy look at it (he said well done!) yup so i really hope it gets approved and i can go to USS for freeeee! :D (think of battlestar galactica!) and buddy is so nice he purposely gave me loads of work today to distract me from thinking of tmr. plus the milk and all other stuff. gosh, i really dont feel like rotating but...

anyway, happy family met on tuesday night. ate at manhattan's marina then walked. haha but we all felt so tired and zzz we went home early.

interns' dinner at clarke quay last night!

not bad not bad the most successful outing thus far(:

13 of us went to some hooters restaurant but it's super ex and the food nothing special - not worth it :x

celebrated the birthdays' of the graces', fiona and kian siang plus the farewell of lisa.

oh man one less 14th floor intern but there's gonna be a new intern coming on monday!

next week will be eventful yet uneventful - clear skies, new intern, outings, and RESULTS (:(

P.S. i got my first paycheck last friday! - $459.31!
haha pathetic. and i still treated my family to sushi tei last sunday.
but not bad i have a new part-time job. that is editing articles at $2 each.

well, i guess the next time we can just call the same few people out.

project life gathering yesterday was ahem quite a failure.

only merri, hweeyin and I could make it in the afternoon.

so yeah there went our kite-flying, literally haha.

I was more interested in shopping haha so I dragged merri along with me to the F1 pit building flea market instead.

kinda got lost on the way but it was quite enjoyable just roaming around with merri.

finally we reached there at 5pm and shopped till 7pm before meeting si'en and yitong for dinner at crystal jade.

I bought a miss selfridge floral blouse for just $14 and a skirt for just $8 HAHAHA WHAT A STEAL!

merri was the ultimate - she spent $70 on 4 items and still wanted more tsktsk!

anyway, we became flea buddies and we're going for more tgt next time (x

yup and the next project life outing - xiao long bao buffet! :D

i suddenly feel like blogging haha.
maybe i should do some reflections.
one month plus into my internship, what have i learnt so far?
one thing's for sure.
i dont regret coming here at all.
i love my fellow interns and department.
haha seriously they're the funniest and nicest people on earth.
totally daily abs training with them (x
and life has been good to me.
i cant help thinking how lucky i am to be in this department with like nice work to do haha.
instead of just doing plain boring admin stuff, i get to go on company visits, do research on london and barcelona (!!! just imagine that) i so envy them, yet have time to slack around and just chill.
I LOVE MY LIFE.

HAPPY (BELATED) VALENTINE'S!
sunday was mad.
spent the whole afternoon baking :/
and the cookies didnt turn out as nice as the last time cause of the mass production.
but it's still nice haha
as i gave out my cookies to everyone yesterday, i knew my sunday was not wasted.
seeing the smiles on everyones faces is like priceless.
& this is one of the many lessons Cedar taught me.

lucky i didnt pay for the buffet it was like $26.60 i wouldn't have been able to eat that much.

but the ice-cream buffet alone wasnt cheap too - $11.70 :O

i did stole some salmon sashimi and other cooked food though hehe.

monday: shopping with jess at far east and bugis street. bought a belt only though. then sudden impromptu karaoke with tiff, rena & madeline!
tuesday: bloob outing! jess, xy, zf, calvin and khalid. played 3 rounds of pool plus disscussed abt possible overseas trip. IT'S LOOKIN' GOOD :D [haha since they were all late, i managed to shop and bought a cardigan and a pair of sunnies after my interview with jiaqi aka angie at recruit express(x oh and i completed my baker king(:]
wednesday: sentosa with clarice, tiff and huiping. kinda fail though caused we reached at 2 and then 2 hrs later it rained hahaha we didnt even get a chance to splash in the water. camhored drink talk play cards.

AND NOW, im at my dad's office. i hope i will get a job offer soon!!!

i barely started playing :/ aft i came back from korea all i did so far was converse sale, pwc interview, rapunzel, make specs, doc's appt, a bit of shopping here and there, reopen blogshop plus watched baker king(10 more episodes to go! and rapunzel was awesome btw)

and then i realised that aft this wkend, mon tues wed going out with friends then help dad all the way to 28 so the number of available days left are 29, 30, 31 -_-

celebrated the end of A's with my class at the beach.

cycled on double bikes for approx 20km :O

but i kinda got a mild heatstroke heh.

like halfway when turning ard it was like bright lights all ard me and numbness in my arms :/

then lunch at east coast food centre and off to merv's house for xbox hehe.

left early to collect my haul from online shopping the previous day which im gonna wear two out of the three i bought for the trip!
